Hi all

A while back I said that I have contacted the environment agency reference sea fishing rod Licences (they deal with fresh water licences)well hear is the reply

Richard,

I do apologise for taking so long to reply.

The truth is I don't actually know much about this. There has been
speculation about sea rod licences for some time, but it is not clear
who would issue them, who would regulate sea rod fishing and what the
income would be used for.

I imagine that a great deal of discussion will happen over the coming
years, but imagine that any power to issue licences would probably have
to be under an Act of Parliament - primary legislation is notoriously
slow to happen. In other words, don't hold your breath.

Keep well

Stephen Gledhill

Well first thanks to Stephen for taking the time

And well it looks like if it does ever happen it is many years off
