Hi,

Thanks for the info. Looking at your photo's I think we have been a bit tight with the bait- first photo looks like a sheep's innards!

What is the white plastic triangle on the weight in the second photo? Never seen one of those.

Re: Colditz, Hayling Island?

It's another lesson, OK?

You can't catch good fishees without an investment.

Despite my years, I dig my own bait.

I reckon 120 lug/rag for a 5hr session with two rods.

Get a fork, OK?

Up to six worms on each hook means rather serious fishees.

Thassit really ...

PS the white 'thingy' is a lead-lift which mainly tries to get you over the rough botties.
I use them as visual and vibe 'thingy'.

I had the 3 x 3lbers about 5 years ago; but the 3-13-0 (returned) was 2008, I think.

I got an article out of the last one ....

Re: Colditz, Hayling Island?

Thats some going Ada, I cannot remember having a session out in the boat that good for plaice, although I have been out of the loop for sometime, I concentrated heavily on Rainbow Trout flyfishing for such a long time I left seafishing way behind.
I can remember Years ago, when I was about 14yrs old going down to Dungeoness for Cod and couldn't believe my Brothers mates bait up's, which when I saw yours sparked off memories of that day.
Its great when you pull off a great session like that, I can remember a similiar session one morning about 5am, when i used to have a Meeching down in Brighton and I had about 10-15 Bass all on Plugs just off of Blackrock, all rangeing from Schoolies to some sizable monsters.

Re: Colditz, Hayling Island?

I'm just going about my biz and enjoyed sea angling (and coarse) since the age of five ....

plaice?

I'll never have another series of sessions like these ....

My neighbours went out next day and bought a £7000 boat to get the distance ....

they didn't have bite (from the same groyne) on those 3 days!!

Now, you put the hours in and we'll have another crop in 5 -20 years.
Unless these IFCAs/MCZs are prepared to protect our stocks.
