| ive just got into sea fishing and got myself a good beach rod and reel deal for ledger fishing however after my 1st attempt at spinning yesterday at chesil i found my arm was knackered within 10 mins using my beach rod but i did enjoy it. I have got a coarse fishing rod in my attic and i was wondering if i could use it for spinning for a bit to see if i really like it or if i have to spend money for a whole new spining set and also wheres the best place to pick up tackle, rods, reels etc? Would really like any help i can get as i am a real begginner at sea fishing ![]() |

| Re: Which rod to use? Your beach rod i assume is 12 ft plus and far too heavy for spinning a coarse rod or light carp rod will be fine , spinning from the beach its ideal to have a rod upto 11 ft but very lightweight , from a pier a 7-8 ft rod is fine __________________ If Everyday things are getting you down & stressing you out, Think like a Dog, If it cant be Eaten or Humped, Piss on it and walk away.. |
