Worst Days Fishing....EVER !!!!!

Been planning some estuary fishing for ages and finaly had a gap in my work schedual yesterday.Rushed home from work,picked up my gear and hot-footed it down to the coast.
Approximately 2 hours later i had been blown off the water by a suprise northerly wind.As i was plugging for Bass there was no way i could of carried on.So i began the long trudge back to the car.When i got there i packed everything away and began the 30 minute drive home.When i arrived home i began to unpack the car.It was then that i realised i had left my whole box of lures on top of the car whilst i packed my rod away.I'd heared something bump as i left the car park but had assumed it was something in the boot.I rushed back down to the beach in a blind panic but to no avail.The whole lot(£150-£200 worth) had been picked up by some lucky !@?*er !!! I honestly felt like selling all my gear and giving it up as a bad job.
If the worst that ever hppens to me again is a blank session i'll be more than happy.
If anyone was in the Ogmore-by-Sea area on 5/8/2010 and found a box of lures please could u contact me on 01656729704....cheers.

Bad luck m8, hopefully the person who found them will have the heart to hand them in somewhere, u tried ringing local tackle shops ect ?

Thats a real shitty day mate... sad thing is that whoever found the lures probably isn't even an angler and wont understand thier value not just in monetary terms .

Cheers guys.Started the re-stocking process over the weekend.Asked in a few tackle shops if anything had turned up and the general concensus seemed to be that people arn't usually that lucky.Oh well,we live and learn.Perhaps,in future,i'll get some name and address tags printed off.All i've got to hope for then is that they are found by an honest soul.Not that i'm planning to lose any again.Thanks again for the support everyone.I haven't been fishing that long and ive only been a forum member for a couple of months but there is a genuine community spirit on this site.Dont get that in many places these days.

I don't wish to extend your misery, but have you given your local police station a ring, your be surprised what does get handed into them, there are some honest folk about......i remember handing in a enormous wooden box of flies to the warden at Barcombe reservior in Sussex, not resisting a look, all beautiful hand tied flies the must have been hundreds, alot of man hours devoted.
