not only that but just because someone had a top catch at a venue doesnt mean average Joe is gonna do the same.
I have mates i fish with and most 'catch' info stays within this circle for a very good reason..We spend hours a week and a fortune on bait and gear to catch fish..we aint about to then broadcast to the nation where they should all be heading ...litter,vandalism,nets,bait beds dug out,access suddenly denied..i could go on ...

sadly your idea will require the assistance of the more experienced anglers who fish week in week out and i have a feeling the reports aint gonna be that forthcoming

Sorry fella but it would be some sort of rubbish commercial fisherman who felt the need to look at anglers catch reports to know where the fish are,i do part time fishing myself and crew on fishing boats,we know where and when the fish are around,i often ask the local inshore fisherman whats around to help plan my angling trips. One of the main reasons i dont post catch reports much is because of lurkers who take the info and put nothing back into the forums. I put up a report of a good bassing session on another forum last year,the next couple of days the place was packed and litter left all over the place.

I'm talking here about the more scrupulous operators who fish for Bass etc and sell thier catch - usually illegally , NOT Mr Birdseye who has a 15 metre trawler !! Try visiting any of the nursery areas round here for all the proof you need
I agree having worked on boats that you are too busy let alone tired to troll through catch reports - so perhaps "commercial" was the wrong choice of word ..but don't be blinkered into thinking everyone with a boat is an honest fisherman
hoards of idiot holiday anglers plus half of China will also soon put paid to any decent Bass mark..as you found out to your cost !
