I'm hoping to be up on the river, at foxham on sunday. Have not been fishing the river to the lack of rain.
Fingers crossed what we had, combined with what we migt get will jolly things up a bit.

as they are going there next day/weekend/ holiday etc

and so i and others try to explain baits . tactics rigs etc ( all of which are normally in our posts as if already on forum thers nowt to hide)

But heres the bit thats getting me, 99% will never let us or the forum know how they got on , even a pm back saying how it went

please guys its just courtesy and helps everyone , reports lead to better fishing, blank reports can save people a wasted trip
and fuel bait etc

yes i'll still give info as i'm up for helping anyone if i can but please
writeing a report usually takes no longer than the original pm / ask for help

we are a sociable lot here, and general fishing knowledge passed on helps everyone

mostly as baggie thinks it may have come across that its more about general lack of posts/reports

there are many good anglers on here that do great reports and its not that

its mostly the "can you help threads" that all the regular people take time to answer, and then theres never a reply or post from the original poster so no one knows wether their help has helped, I:e was it a good or bad trip
other than that i think the forums massively healthy at the moment with good reports both sea and fresh comeing in so thanks to all those that do post

to be honest you are totally right i dont mind giving people advice on fishing ,techniques bait or rigs and often when giving advice will ask for a report just to know if my way of fishing is helping someone else catch as much as me that way i know im not giving duff info to new anglers and putting them off ,but the reports never come and im left wondering if they hed a good day or not frustrating really
