Great Aerial Map Site

Just thought I'd let you guys that theres agreat Aerial Map Site.
Its called Multimap.com

Its real easy to use too.
point the curser at the desired map and keep pressing the move in button
(+) icon at the top left of the page.Once you get to the desired height press the AERIAL icon (small camera picture in the top middle of the screen.
This will then zoom right in to your desired place...you can even see your house in real pictures.

Its great to see your favourite fishing locations.

The only trouble is you cant save this image, it resorts back to a road map.

Re: Great Aerial Map Site

Ive used this site for ages, it comes in handy. Never seen one that overlays the photo on to the road map until this, pretty cool really. Streetmap.co.uk is another one thats good as just a road map.

Re: Great Aerial Map Site

There is one good thing that this map will not pick up again and thats the sewage outfall at Hopes Nose. You can clearly see it though if you have a look.
Some say that the fishing in this area will suffer because its not pumping anymore, big deal...at least we havent got RAW SEWAGE being pumped into the sea.Not sure if I would have eaten a mullet from there anyway, mind you, I dont fancy mullet anyway.

What were your views on the sewage pipe when it was pumping? GOOD / BAD OR JUST DIDNT REALLY CARE.
Be interesting to find out.

Back later though boys, just off to wet a line.

Re: Great Aerial Map Site

Last time I went swimming in the sea was 1991 when I saw condoms and big brown lumps float past me at meadfoot. Then last summer do you remember the brand new pumping station failed and the same things started floating up on the beaches and they closed them for swimming.

Gonna be a while yet before I take my nephews and nieces swimming in the sea again.
