Fishing and camping

Hi all was just wondering if anyone enjoys camping and fishing at the same time, i am always doing it, i could do it for months on end. I recently found this site which is great as it shows all the campsites you can visit near fishing locations, i use it all the time. http://www.cabbagemedia.com/campsites/

Re: Fishing and camping

Love it mate...spent half my life in a tent up the woods as a kid ( Army background ) and guess i will never grow out of it .. I feel sorry for todays youth who prefer playstations or sitting in town annoying grannies ..
the sound of rain on your tent in the pitch dark to me is priceless

thats priceless aswell..especially when you take their tent pegs out afterwards ..

Campsites are getting more like Hotels and the whole spirit of the outdoors is being lost, hence i tend to make camp in the middle of nowhere .sausages burning on a stick..tins of beans and sausages and ration packs ..bring it on

Re: Fishing and camping

Yep, sounds great - though the weather in this country can be a pain sometimes when camping..

taste like shyte

what i love about overnight fishing (not camping ) is the peace and tranquility

owls hooting , the call of fox,s , the sound of badgers , the dawn chorus ,

And being able to flick one off with out getting disturbed
