New Black lug pumping Video

I have tryed it down here and whilst professing that i am bloody useless at it!
I just cannot get the Knack of it, furthermore i think I bought a too bigger diameter pump, however, as you do, i perservered with it and i am still bloody uesless...but the problem is theres not much black down here to practice on,
so attempting to suss out the depth of the buggers is difficult to say the least!
When i,m really bored i take it out for a walk with the dog to keep me company.

I think the nearest place to me that is good is Hastings area, by the time i have put in the milage and petrol i could have bought half a dozen down the tackle shop.
I'll leave it to the experts and if anyboby wants to buy my pump, pm me!

I came into pumping late on as I've only been at it a year, and I've had a good teacher (Paul in the video) who gave me the good advice of getting a slimline Alvey pump and to replace the washers with home made silicon ones....

They do make a hell of a difference, well that and practice, practice practice!

I agree though, it is bloody disheartening at first and I was more than once tempted to launch the damn pump into the sea, though in your case the dog would probably bring it back to you!

Even now though, it sometimes pays to place the pump nearer to the cast, sometimes at a steeper angle (almost vertical over the cast), or to pump from the same side of the cast each time (i.e. with your back to the tide or facing the tide) etc etc...it's not an exact science but there's no better feeling when you start popping those worms out, especially first pump!

are you sure it aint edited and a lug placed IN the tube before he pumps the water out ! ?
The bloke in the video , your mate Paul,.. has he thought of prospecting for gold lol ?
on a more serious note, are the worms gutted straight away for a reason - is it simply storage for freezing ?

hi all ive a little spot i go to and can get bout 50 inside of an hr i only take wot i need so theres ov stock left for future trips, i usally put pump over cast straight up and by the 2nd pump get my worm. c/c u say u have to go to hastings, couple ov places a lot nearer m8 pm me.

Cracking video.

On about the washers, I have had a go at making some home made silicon ones but I always seem to find that they feel like marshmallows and seem to disintegrate in the pump after doing a couple of casts.

S&M is better than M&S lol..
With regards to my location i think the Salisbury,Wilts bit gives it away mate - i am but an hour and a half from yours !
If i was that good with a lug pump i would be doing one thing ....
COLLECTING TRUFFLES - hes either really skilled or there are too many worms sharing a burrow round those parts..I don't mind things loooking easy but thats not even funny
