matts tackle / db angling supplies

dont order anything from these crooks - i ordered 50 x 5oz leads from them on APRIL 28th -paid them by card - after 2 months they sent me the wrong leads so i sent them back - the latest is they claimed to have sent me the right leads 2 weeks ago - surely royal mail is not that slow - no -its them lying as usual -so my advice to anybody is to avoid them -they are the worst people that i have ever ordered fishing gear from - i hope people see this and they lose orders because of it - they deserve it

Re: matts tackle / db angling supplies

I used to run a lead making business and had various problems with parcel force - the leads will always be sent by parcel force or courier , as you know, due to the weight but split boxes, missing parcels and parcels sent to depots to sit there for a week ..just out of interest what was the cost including postage ?
It sounds like the guys you ordered from didnt have the leads in stock and decided not to tell you this !
I used to send out 1000 coated carp leads at a time ( now this DID mean 4 weeks wait sometimes due to them being all hand made and hand coated ) but atleast the customer was made aware !
is buying a mould an option ? i can certainly tell you the proper way to make leads - ive made a few lol

Re: matts tackle / db angling supplies

the leads i ordered were 5oz breakaways with bait clips - he was selling them for 81p each on orders of 50 leads p+p £15 - so even with the postage still cheap - i returned the wrong leads he sent me for £11 - he recieved them ok - he told me he had sent me the right leads last tues - as for packaging its common sense to wrap them well in strong cardboard so the gripwires dont poke through - but the point is he has lied to me on many ocasions saying they are posted when they are not - if he said sorry mate there will be a delay or a week or so fair enough - but to not hear from him untill i threaten with the small claims court he ring me and then lies saying they are on their way - 3 months wait is not on - ive asked for my money back many times but no joy

What is this an ebay shop? or a mail order? I will keep a wide berth but I am curious where they do their business?

Re: matts tackle / db angling supplies

It is a website shop he operates from, I finally got my money back after trading standards got on the case,it took a few months, look on Google at "Matt's Tackle" and you will see the good review I gave him on WSF lol, bet it hurt ouch, the man is full of crap and lies so much, good job he is not Pinocchio as his nose would be miles long, contact trading standards as they will be the only help you get as the banks won't help you,
