dexter wedges

hello

im a compleat novice at sea fishing and want to spin for mackerel and bass, the advice ive been given is to use a dexter wedge for the waters i have in mind.

but what weight do i need? i think i remember reading somewhere that 32g is the best for macke but im not sure

btw I'm takeing 2 rods, a 7 foot (this spot lacks elbow room) and a 14 foot carp rod for a bit of beach casting if i carnt get any on the spinners

any advice would be helpfull

many thanks CW

Re: dexter wedges

Hi Catweasel
welcome to the forum.

All I would suggest is choose a nice dry day to start with, expect to blank.
Have a chat with any other anglers at your chosen mark.
Generally fishing dusk into dark is better, but not spinning in the dark.
Most importantly.... enjoy!
