new rod and reel I am thinking of a new rod and reel , i am not a complete novice but no expert . My fishing is occasional but intend to do a bit more . I will mainly be fishing the solent and dorset coast . I have my eye on a Penn 525 super mag extra reel i think its called so i am wondering what rod to go with this. Thanks Paul

Re: new rod and reel depends on the cash you wanna spend mate but a clean ground rod of 13 foot by any of the top manufacturers will suit ! I personally stick to Daiwas including reels but thats personal choice ![]() __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting

Re: new rod and reel good alternative to the 525 mag is the torium 14. i've had penns and to say they have a habit of biting you every session is an understatement. switched to a torium and love it...just as fast retrieve, smoother drag and not as agricultural as the 525. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size
