rod stuck together

Hi i am fairly new to fishing i have a 2nd hand diawa power cast 4-6 oz rod.

The 2 pieces are stuck together and i cant pull apart or teist at all . I like the rod and can cast a good distance with it. so dont wont to lose it

Any ideas how i can separate the 2 sections.

thanks Paul

Yip, fairy liquid! Let it sit for a few mins then give it a few twists.

Or WD40!

Re: rod stuck together

I used to use a wee bit of candle wax to keep it friction free... maybe that is just me though but it does seem to work.

Lol Justin - he needs to get it apart first

I assume you mean rub the candle on the spigot not pour wax on it

works on my planes and handsaws !

You tend to find older rods have years worth of sand and other crud stuck in the top hollow end

Re: rod stuck together

Jesus, it must be well stuck if the trusty old fairy liquid didnt work!

As that mentalist says, 2 fellas giving her a good old tug could maybe sort it!
