| Re: How do you catch worm bait for sea fishing? please help!!! Black lug will show as a small often coloured cast on the sand and no blow hole, use a cut down shovel no wider than 6 inch and follow the hole down into the sand. Very hard to pt into words how to dig them but easy to show. Same with pumping. Best advice would be to go with someone who knows how and learn from them. Blow lug leave between the cast and blow hole, a wide tyned fork is the best for digging them. Dig between the cast and blow hole, the depth is usually governed by temperaure, ie 2 sits down in winter, 1 spit in summer. Rag pretty well cover by previous. To reitterate the safety, if you are walking a long way make sure that if you cross any gullies, you will not get cut off by a rising tide. Try to have a small compass with you in your pocket and know which way safety is, this may sound like overkill but if you are caught out by fog a compass will get you back safely. |
