| Whiting and Appletise As most of us at the moment are catching a few good size Whiting, I thought some of you might like to know a quick simple way of cooking them if your camped out overnight. Get your saucepan out and put approx. 1/2 to 3/4 inch of appletise in the bottom of the pan, heat to boiling point and then go catch youself a nice size Whiting, which should take about 30seconds. Cut the head off, de-fin and remove the guts, cut it in half and add to the pan, Put the lid on and leave for about 3 min. Serve with a nice bit of brown bread and butter and a cup of hot tea.... What more could you ask for? Dont say a no. 53 and a 21 form wongs either...lol. |

| Re: Whiting and Appletise I think that there should be a permanent page for fish recipe's. After all its the end result of the day isnt it. Also a page on how to prepare fish for cooking, eg. filleting, gutting, skinning etc. |
