Abu 6500 series

Just a quick observation for all you owners of the 6500 series.
Keep your eye on the 2 screws on the righthand side plate, I thought I looked after mine really well, rinsing them after every session and drying them off. But over time these screws do work slightly loose and when casting, the drum will start to make a bit of noise, you wont really notice it as its happens so gradually, the first signs are that you may need to add a little more brake to prevent overuns. Its not until you do a stripdown and a service that you notice it but believe me after the problem is sorted you can really see and here the dramatic difference.
I speak from experience... mine are now working like a dream again.
