| Braid vs Floats Some of you may have read the report on Braid on fixed spool the other day and how well it worked...However Although its not just Braid, mono also, I have found that over the last few seasons the inner section of the floats seam to split when striking. Not so much split, but the line appears to cut into the edges. This has a dramatic effect when the float wants to ride up the line as the weight is sinking. The line catches in these splits and stops the bait in mid descent to your desired depth. The question is... what happened to the floats with the small metal eyes inserted in the tops to prevent this? Another cost cutting move by the manufacturer with disastrous effects i think. |

| Re: Braid vs Floats you could be right there... the only thing is ...it aint good enough. european manufacturing guild lines states that the item Must be fit for the purpose it was intended to do... in this case they got it wrong. I have just today E-Mailed a major fishing manufacturer asking for someinfo on the subject. I will post it on here when or if I get a reply. |
