Revised Braid On Fixed Spool

REVISED BRAID ON FIXED SPOOL
Got up early this morning to collect some live prawns for some dawn bass/pollocking at Brixham Breakeater.
Didn't get a sniff, anyway....to update on the braid on the fixed spool.
I was asked by kiwimartin (think thats right) does the line sink of float... well i did a bath test yesturday and the line seemed to sink but today in a real fishing situation the line actually floats.
Hope this answers the question.

Re: Revised Braid On Fixed Spool

Mines obviously the floating kind then.
Going to BerryHead later to try for some codling. I wont hold my breath though, there chicken teeth round here, bloody rare.
Ive heard reports that *there* catching them but i am one of them *there's* and I aint seen any yet. God forbid I put the time in.

Please god let tonight be the night, its costing me a fortune in bait.

Re: Revised Braid On Fixed Spool

Just got back...time 12.00 midnight
Had a real busy night with the 2 rods out, no codling but plenty of Pout, Whiting and the usual dogs.
Had a couple of good runs and hooked into them but twice the hook broke.
Probably a couple of small conger.
Gonna try tomorrow night as well. Got to get a codling soon.PLEASE
