River yealm

hi just wondering if any of u guys have fished the river yealm reacently i heard it is ment to be quite good !!!!

Not recently but fish it a lot in the summer for Mullet, plenty of them about to good size

The nearer the mouth of the yealm you are the more species there are about such as mullet, bass, mackerel, wrasse etc and I even had a nice triggerfish while mulleting too!

thanks mate what bate do you use for mulleting !!!!! and what sort of time of the year is best

I use plain white bread on the hook and to groundbair, they will be around from now but will be in greater numbers in a few weeks when the water temp picks up a bit

Should see them patrolling the surface as well as under boats etc

Bass in summer, codling, doggies at night and also fair size conger at times.
