Hayling Island .... for those who want to blank!

Every year for the past eight, we have had a 'fishy' social gathering at Eastoke Corner, Hayling Island around 'plaice time'.

This years will be Sat 20th March; weather dependent (to be called on Thurs 18th ... on or off).

Some may be fishing comps that evening or at Eastney on Sunday.

The point of this 'meet' is for all abilities to be there. No pressure!
Lotsa help and advice, if necessary.

Anyway, we always do this and have had the likes of Gilbers, Mackellow, Shambrook et al in the past. I haven't got anyone particular lined up this year; but there's sure to be a couple of master-casters/coaches in attendance.

In addition Manning's Tackle have donated a Anyfishanywhere 12' light beach (60-90gm) rod for the biggest plaice on the day.
Their shop is at the Corner.

Bait orders can be placed to Pat (at Mannings) 023 92463444

It's not a true comp .... more a social:

9am Breakfast at Delia's Cafe, Eastoke Corner.

10am (approx) 'Hunt the plaice' Comp.

HW 2pm

4pm'ish .... into The LifeBoat Inn to discuss how we caught so little!

If you haven't been before, everything (but the fish) is within 200m of Eastoke Car Park, Hayling Island.

All welcome .... no charges except for your parking.

Lee was a previous 'Best Boy at Plaice' ....

Sometimes we have a barbie .....

All welcome, but watch this space on Thurs 18th March.

That's the whole idea ... all welcome to sample the delights of Hayling Island.

We used to be under the auspices of Total Sea Fishing.

But we decided to 'spread our wings' a little.
