| Warning Notice! I must thank Leeda, for which in the fly fishing industry does produce good value flyfishing reels.......However...I not too sure about the budget boat rod called "NORTHSTAR", the first biodegradeable boat rod, it surely is a challenge trying to keep the rod eyes from disintergrating as it has been designed to rot on contact with salt water! Anglers beware! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Re: Warning Notice! I think it's true to say that generally you get what you pay for. I've never seen these rods, however I believe they retail around the £30 mark. At that price, they should be reasonably functional. Saltwater tackle still needs a bit of extra looking after regardless of quality. I generally give my sea gear a good blast off with a hose pipe & fresh water when I get home after a trip. Then let it dry off, followed by a good coating of WD40. If the quality is as bad as you say, then add it to the name & shame post so that others don't make the same mistake when looking for a rod. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...
