Waisted time Ok fishing in the sea is not great guys at this time of year, but it doesnt have to be gloom and doom , if you dont do coarse fishing like me and your waiting for spring to get into bloom, take it up if there are lakes near were you live or do what i do go fly fishing for rainbows, a 3lb rainbow will give you more of a scrap than you think, great sport. Now the lakes have thawed out stop moaning and get some lessons that in itself is very rewarding and as ive said its now you want to learn or if you know how get out and fish. I will help as much as i can with tips, sorry guys im a good fly angler as well as shore and boat, to me a fish is a fish. My favourite out off the 3 is the fly rod. I have a G-tec 9foot 6" and a hardy 9foot 6" 7 weight and i love going out twice a week from last week till the end off feb, then its wild brownies then boat then salmon and shore then shore. Go on get out there Oh sorry i also have a 5 weight fly rod for the brownies. Rainbows or coarse up to you, for me it fills the gap Yours always in sport, paul = look back, it looks a good fish, well go catch it![]()

Re: Waisted time Paul you dont know what your missing, i mean that and if there are fly anglers on forum please please get paul to try the fly. Paul its you and the fish mate it is the best buzz you will ever have in your life i promise you. And rainbows give you a great fight. Mick brown tried it and he said why the hell have i not done this before. Paul it is owesome sport. Yours always in sport, paul. Ps when you do catch your 1st fish on the fly you will kick yourself what you have been missing paul that i promise you. You will only know what i mean when you get that 1st fish on the fly. If there is a rainbow lake near you ring the owner and get lessons. Paul try it, you wont regret it but if you dont you are missing out big time mate and i mean big time. ![]()

Re: Waisted time Now, I'm certainly no big fly man, but I *think* you have to tie your flies on hooks and not lolly sticks Gord. Maybe that's where you were going wrong???? __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait?
