lead v jet skis

What is the best size weight to sink a jet ski.
I had thought about a 20mm high explosive but I think that this would not be appreciated by any fish in the area.

Re: lead v jet skis

I think sinking a jet ski is going a bit too far. a single shot of lead, say about 7.62mm delivered at just above the speed of sound from a rifled tube of some description and inserted directly into the engine crank case would have the added benefit of decorating the coastline with riders in brightly coloured wetsuits and would save our lifeboat crews an awful lot of work throughout the year.

Re: lead v jet skis

My guess would be a harpoon, they could be shot then winched into a disposal site.
More seriously, I feel that these things do a great deal to spoil the enjoyment of the coast for a lot of others, whilst they may be having the time of their lives roaring about, they are spoiling the day for many others, who don't want to hear the screaming engines. I have the same problem with some of the kite boarding people, who take up an entire beach with their hobby.

Re: lead v jet skis

This is true. My missus wrote to the local council with the sugestion of replacing the binoculars on our sea front with anti tank guns and holding a days open shoot. The winner would get their council tax paid for a year. Needless to say she did not get a reply.
I had one of the buggers today who decided it would be fun to run straight at me every time I cast out. He was just out of range of my 5oz breakaway no matter how hard I tried.
