Gotta get me one of those oh yes. It might be a bit of a bugger putting it in the car though. Having read about studs adventures casting i might have to get hold of him and a handfull of hand grenades.

I see this time and time again we are all a pain in the arse to each other on the beach but it ours to share , we get the kite surfers at hillhead , and they do sometimes come into our territory , but only the learners , live and let live and we can all enjoy our free beaches

Re: lead v jet skis

It might not be until someone gets hurt, that some bylaws or similar get bought into effect. I did once see a near ms by a kite surfer and a child who ran towards the surf. I think the mothers reaction to the kite surfer taught them a lesson, but sometime in the future somethime awful may happen.

Re: lead v jet skis

It already has. Margate a few years back. A couple of brothers were swimming when one got into difficulties. A jet ski rider thought he would help and raced to the scene only to hit the poor guy full tilt and killed him outright.
I was the manager of the Ship inn at the time and watched the whole thing happen.
I am not against them in their right place. Normally in a buyed off area. as long as they can keep to that fine.
I fell foul of one stupid ??????????? who thought he would have some fun with me hence the thread.

Re: lead v jet skis

It does shock me that some people care only for their own pleasure, not thinking how their actions affect other people. Its a bit like my dislike of the misuse of bite alarms, some one playing with one spoils the tranquility of the bankside.
Must have been horrible to have witnessed the goings on outside of the Ship Inns window.
Just as part of the Beach at Weston, I think is sometime closed off for scramble bike events, could sections of beach be allocated for kite surfers?
Bouyed area's for Jet Skis?

It would have to go in front of your local council and probably health n safety exect. The pub was next to the lifeboat station. Both inshore and off crews used the pup as a local . the problem you are now going to get is the aftermath of that pair of extreamists who jumped over that pier. I think it was brighton. They are now all going to try to do the same. at least the jet skis can be steared up to a point where as a kite is controlled by the force of nature. we dont have the coastline for the kites here but the others are like a swarm of wasps after a jam sarnie
