sea very rough today its an onshore breeze which is good hope you have enough lead in your box to hold bottom! If wind dies down a bit it will be ok. The water very coloured still so good news too. Watch the car park though i got a ticket last week! May be venturing out tonight. I have a palm tree opposite my house if the leaves on it blow around generally means the sea will be too rough. At the moment it is still blowing around a bit but not as bad as this morning

if you read this before you go high tide is ten to four in afternoon. Black lug fished sixty yards out for whiting one a chuck. Cant offer you any advice on catching anything else as whiting and the odd rockling is all i have caught so far .. good luck

alright fellas
i've just joined the forum and have only been in eastbourne for about 6 months and am new to sea fishing (having been brought up on the delights of stick float fishing on the trent) so lots to learn.
i only live 3 streets away from the pier and while you always see loads fishing off there i was wondering if it's worth casting a line in from the beach around there. it'd be rude not to since i could almost reach the sea from my house (one of the B&Bs along there).
and do you know anyone flogging a fishing kayak by any chance??!

sorry mate, cannot give much advice as only just started out myself. the only thing i know , is that the best areas is frim normans bay to langney point. but some others say they have caught fish up to holywell area.

went out sat from midday onwards and caught absolutely nothing, nothing and closely followed with nothing. how pants. the guy on the beach next to me had a field day. how pants again!!

story of my life!!!!
i used a 2 hook clip down rig with fresh lugworm and i was fishing inbetween the waterworks and martello tower.
just couldn't understand how i blanked.
