Found this gem, lets hope it pays off.

I found this book, published in 1960.

So it may not be quite upto date as others, but there are some great marks in there. Some are' hardly ever fished as they require a walk of at least an hour', if they are still availiable they should be fun. I look forward to this summers explorations and finding a few spots away from the crowds.

Great find. I bet some of those obscure marks are well worth a fish. I trip at low tide would also give u more info on the chosen venue.

Just read a wonderful line about it being unsafe to fish from the road at ferrybridge, 'neither convienent or safe.

Re: Found this gem, lets hope it pays off.

his books are full of little gems,i have few, the marks they describe are very good but sadly due to overfishing the variety of fish is a lot less nowadays

BB once wrote.... Catching fish in winter is difficult but then so it is in spring summer and autumn! Great line (He was describing trying to catch carp i might add)
