| hi every one i have recently started doing some marker work and was woundering on my marker reel do i need to put mono backing on it before spooling up with 20lb braid at my local lake twinersh can any one help? thanks dan |

| Re: need some answers please I only put on about 175 yds of braid , the rest is cheap mono, no point putting 300 yds on if your only chucking 100yds, most of my fishing is done at about 150 yds |

| Re: need some answers please best to puit some mono on first...it will give something for the braid to "bed into" and not slip on your spool. NICK R nothing wroung with what your doing with braid...we do something similar...we put the whole lot on and then after "x" months we take it off and reverse it so the used braid youv'e been using is now by the backing. __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size |

| Re: need some answers please thanks for the replys guys a big help what braid is recommended i know 20lb floating is a most used these days is bannana braid any good matt hays one i know its expensive but got good reviews |

| Re: need some answers please When useing braid keep it wet at all times whilst fishing. It cast better and stops knots when its wet. I used e.s.p marker braid when use my mates marker worked great. |
