| took sons out Hi everyone MY mrs and i took the boys down the beach today to c if they could get on with there new rods, it was only a 1hr session to c if they could cast by themselves, my eldest ellis (12) kept getting the hump as he couldnt get 10yrds out,throwing down the rod and stuff, in the end he finally got the hang of it and cant wait till the summer/warmer weather comes( he cant stand the cold) and calley (6) took to it like water of a ducks back, showed him wot to do once and he was away, av about 20 yrds every time, dancing around now got the nickname the dancing fishingman, jumped for joy when he caught something SEAWEED, still loved it, caught 3 more SEAWEED be4 we went home, these rods were only little spinning type rods but i think in the not to distant future we will be buying them bigger ones, we all had a lovelly couple of hrs fun esp the kids. tight lines all baker boy ![]() ![]() |

| Re: took sons out The skipper on the boat I was on saturday was saying he's designing a boat with wheelchair access because the average age of his clients is rising sharply! He's got a policy now that if someone takes their child along for the day, he doesn't charge for the child. Top idea I say! Well done for taking the boys out and introducing them to our great sport Cuckoo, I have six girls and a boy. At the moment the boy is more interested in girls, but my youngest girls love a day fishing on the beach with me. Usually entails a trip to Macs or something on the way home though |
