If 90% of small whiting die when you put them back what is the point of having a legal size limit to keep them?
do you think if we all used barbless hooks when fishing for them would help? I can honestly say that in twenty years of fishing on lakes and rivers i have never returned a fish that has died on me. Its not like the whiting off our beaches are being hauled up and doing the swim bladders in.
