How's about Norway

Hi Lads!
I've spent a lot of time fishing in Norway recently and would like to get a few blokes togethter so that it's not all left to the continentals.
Top notch boats 20 knots all up luxury accomodation and the fishing is incredible. best Cod and coalfish last year from Hitra toped 18 kg and there are usually loads of fish over 10 kg. Anyone want to come along?

Re: How's about Norway

Hi Richard.
Its not as expensive as you might think.
The cheapest at the moment is a trip for £539 from 18-26 April. Includes beautiful accommodation and boats. Max angler per boat is 5. The boats are 7-8 meter with big inboard diesels and do about 20 knots all up, they also have top notch electronics. That’s very important in Norway as the majority of the boats that are rented out are not adequate for more than sheltered waters. The accommodation is self catering in shared double rooms but has everything from a luxury fitted kitchen to a sauna and it’s own jetty.
The fishing will be at a time when typically there is a very strong run of big cod at a system of banks about 20 sea miles from the house. It could be that big coalfish push them off though as this tends to happen at some point. Anyhow there are usually plenty of fish around the 10 kg mark and daily bests are usually around 15 kg weekly bests around 18 kg, this goes for cod and coalfish. There are some cheap flights around, at the moment you can book flights to Trondheim for about £ 70 return, and I will be organising the transport from the airport to the lodge. Either mini bus or mini bus ferry, which ever is cheapest the costs will either be local public transport fares or private mini bus split by the group.
In order to make flying and transport as easy as possible all tackle, off shore suits, and self inflatable life jackets will be supplied . We supply two sets of tackle (12-20 and 30-50)for each angler. All tackle is included in the cost of the package. You only have to pay for what you loose or break.
Food and fishing tackle is available at a shop across the field, about two minutes by foot or in the boat.
The fishing is fantastic and it’s a beautiful Place to take a break and really concentrate on your fishing.

Re: How's about Norway

Hi Richard.

Would love to go to Norway, but with circumstances as they are at the moment, it wont be this year.

However if you were thinking of trying to organise something for next year then count me in.
