I own a fladden and they are an ok rod. What you must do after every trip is wash the rings in tap water or you'll only get a few months use before the rings rust completly off the rod.

Im going to use the Fladen Powerstick tonight for cod fishing - have done all winter and have so far caught four cod !! They are cheap and I brought mine to see if I liked beach / shore fishing and its done the trick.

Im looking at upgrading to the Daiwa Sandstorm in Jan but yes I think the Fladen is ok - it does what it says and in my experience it can catch fish !!

i have caught smuts on mine fine
as for friday night, that is good as long as its after half 10 and you dont mind the smell of fish n chips cause im working till 10, might even be able to bring soem free chips
