Bristol Channel Cod

Hi all - has anyone had a decent (more than one codling ! ) session anywhere on the Channel yet this winter ?

Thanks Wizard & Smoothound, have fished Minehead to Hinkley all Autumn to now and 1, 2lb codling to show for efforts. Just wondered if there were any left in the Channel !!

The Codling in the upper Channel are feeding on shrimps so you need to fish the mud flats/ semi rough ground. If we have severe frosts then it kills it as the shrimps move off into deper water. Don't need to cast far at Aust 50 yards max in daylight 10-20 yards at night. Look for tides above 11.5 metres.
