floatation suits

ok guys i think its about time to get a new floatation suit. the old one is abit worn out to say the least

as there seems to now be alot to choose from now im abit confused which to get.
im looking for a good all round suit which needs to be really warm (i dont like the cold). it also needs to be strong as i seem to fall alot when climbing over rocks

2 piece, 1 piece? which do you prefer?

thanks in advance for any help

Re: floatation suits

after using the sas1 and the sas2, i find the sas1 a better suit, the collar is higher which gives you better neck protectection, others who fish with me have agreed the sas1 is a better suit.

Re: floatation suits

I'd say whatever one you choose go for a two piece. This summer was a good example of why because even in the summer it was still wet and nasty. I remember taking the top half of my flotation suit with me all through July and August. If I had bought a one piece it would have been too hot to wear.

Re: floatation suits

The Sundridge SAS2 suit is really good but the sallopettes are not quilted like many other brands so watch out for that as warmth is in your criteria.

I agree with welly on the Imax gear. Absolute top notch gear if a little more expensive. Shop around, as you can get one for as little as £85. Which is way under the RRP.

Had the Imax 2 piece for my birthday, only had one chance to wear it seems excellent the only problem was it was too warm so I spent half the day with the jacket off! It is the only suit I've tried so can't give a comparison but I'm well pleased with it, also it is bright enough to help you be seen if you fall in without being as garish as some of the other suits. Cost £100 I think although, as with all fishing gear, the RRP is quite a bit higher.
