| Re: new member Hey CCK. It's Rich.... We met at Lilstock back in Aug. You helped me with my Bass. Cheers again for that! ![]() Anyway, Branscombe... Bit of a back yard for Dave and I, but we don't fish it as much as we should do really. Clean ground directly out in front of the carpark, with rough ground for the rest of the beach 150 yards either side of the challets. Rough stuff starts about 40 yards out, with some big boulders closer in at the extreme ends of the beach. I say rough, everyone I speak to about Branscombe claims it's evil rough, but I never seem to loose that much gear. Maybe I'm not casting far enough!!! ![]() Personally, I've heard of good Bass, Smutts, Conger, Huss along with the usual hords of Doggies, Pollock, Whiting and Pout. All the usual baits seem to do the trick. Parking can be steep. It's £1 an hour for up to 4 hours, or £5 for 8 hours. Don't be tempted to chance it without a ticket or park up the road either. The owner of the land is quite hot on that sort of thing. There should be quite a few reports on forum site from Branscombe, but if you after something specific, just give us a shout! If Me or Dave can't answer yer question, I know a good few who most certainly can. When you thinking of fishing? Rich. __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check.
