Common sense We tip guys, alot of anglers find one or two rods set up for multiplier after casting dont reg any small bites, rods to stiff etc. Not so and anyone interested in a big tip given to me by a chap you was in the irish shore team no less than 9 times in his prime, who taught me a tip or two when i fished with him many years ago, its not rocket science. How many times do you buy a rod for multiplier and sell it bcause its to stiff. Those who ask i will reveal tip. Oh yes you dont tamper or diy your rod or reel in anyway. Takes less than 3 seconds to change one thing. Thats got you all thinking. I have the old century kompressor sport stiff as a poker but will and has shown up the smallest of fish at over 150 yrds, i am lucky i can compress it with ease. Buying new s as i fish at night and sometimes i fish two out. You will kick yourself, as the saying goes its easy when you know how. Tight lines. Stud.

Re: Common sense I fish with Jules's rods (AFAW); but the only tip rod worth having in the 'leagues' in the 80s/90's was a Cono Flick Tip. How many of those broke at the joint, 18" in? And it's the only rod I had which I dropped in a thunderstorm when it started 'buzzing' as a capacitor! Still a wonderful rod!!!!!!! ![]()

Re: Common sense Mr Liegh Cocker, you say dont bother teasing tips on hear, by the way thats here mate. Anyway i dont know anyone on site so i said only to break the ice. Ysterday i answered a question for a chap called jay and he will catch a lot more fish. I only joined 2 days ago and just letting 1 or 2 know that dont know they can ask as i do know alot mate. I wasnt teasing and i also dont care about your rude remark. 1000s of pounds are spent on rods for many different reasons. Im tuff skinned. Tight lines.

Re: Common sense Sorry guys introduction over thank god. leigh will be happy. Tip and it does work for many reasons. This is only for multiplier stiff rods as soft rods will show up bites anyway. Eyes on rod are on top of rod but on fixspool underneath, rod is softer and if you after cast put rod down on tripod as if it was a fixspool rod it does show a lot more bites at range, also if you stop to have a smoke and a doggie takes it you might of missed the bite and it will just lie there, if you see it let a wee bit of slack line out and you might get 3 dogs. Rule of thumb change bait 20 minuts tops. Sorry guys for sounding a bit big headed at start. Tight lines to all. Paul.
