Re: im back

Hi Greg,

Forget the telescopic and check out the Shimano Exage range of travelling rods. They are top class and are fantastic to use. I took one back to Tassie last month and it was classic.

Cheers

Re: im back

got the exage beachcaster pretty good (only used few times)very stiff as 7 parts, casts well, goes in cloth bag in hard tude case fitted in luggage well, cant say about bite detection as failed miserably when used it (my fishing not rod though), could use for feathers and is rung to take either fix spool or multi (have used with both) . cost about £60 from memory, they also do spinning and course outfits

I have had a cuda in tenerife on a lure while visiting my dad,

Try a spinner or a plug and you should get one.

greg you dont need a rod,we watched some spanish kids fishing in tenerife last year.they tied a long piece of string round a bread roll, (honest !) then wrapped line around the roll, the line had about 20 hooks attached.they threw it in off the sea wall keeping hold of the string end.it was like a scene from phiranna! with fish going mental to get at the bread, they pulled in fish after fish. it was amazing to watch. so mate if all else fails, get to the bakers for your rolls! p.s. have a good holiday
