| Hi all this is a just me trying to mull over a few ideas i assist in running the wed league here for exmouth( to be honest i dont do didly just be back up the wed comp format we use is the same as the main club comps firstly we promote catch and release only fish over nfsa minimum size count( no minispecies either) , which are then weighed and you score the percentage it is against nsfa weight charts sounds complicated but is really quite simple,eg : a 1lb mackeral against 2lb specimin = 50%( dont quote as just example) you then can weigh in the best 2 specimins of each species caught( this stops haveing 22 dogfish each and weigh in lasting ages) how do your clubs do there comps, ( just wondering if theres a quicker easier system( happy with how we do but just wondered) still catch and release though ![]() dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives |

| Re: sea fishing competion formats The way I used to run competitions in Wales a few years ago was quite simple. A fish was caught measured and returned the length being recorded in cm to make it very simple. Certain fish were given a value eg Silver Eels, conger eels, dogfish and any other fish that would be caught with alarming regularity from a venue, or those it was very difficult to measure. |
