| Re: unknown fish! yea mr mullet i have had them this time of the year do the same thing not sure if its the colder water slows them down or what but they become very lazy. another theory could be. once the sea temp gets below 12 0c the mullet leave our waters and head south. although you can still find them in some parts of cornwall and devon most of the year round. usually (and im talking only from experience in torbay) the mullet have a big feed up before they leave if you can catch this time right you can catch upto 50 mullet in a session!! last year dec 28th i caught 49! now this sleepy dopey behaviour could have something to do with them saving energy before the big feed and then the even bigger swim south to the channel islands or beyond. like i say only a theory and maybe i should just stick to bar work  __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |
