| Re: Sandeel Hi Guitarist, In answer to your question, i have never found Sandeels in the sand along the whole lengh of Torre Abbey, but i dare say someone has at some time in the past. Where i have found them occaisionaly is at Hollacombe Beach (gasworks to us olden's) on dead low spring tides towards the southern end of the beach. In my opinion it seems that Eel's prefer the coarser sand of Gasworks as opposed to the hard and tightly packed sand at Torre Abbey. Also they can be found at low tide in the Teign estuary by using a fork or a rake,,,best to do this with two people one to catch and one to dig,,as these blighters can move like lightening,,,,,,,best of luck ![]() |
