thats a nice way of fishing as well but i think freelining still has it for me
i have happy memories of going fishing on still, crisp frosty mornings with my grandad and dad down on the river after pike :)

i use a float besicaly cause its easy to control it along the river banks
when the tide is running out! thats where the mullet seem to be at this
time of the tide! other times i wont use any float or weight and just float
bread down the river depends on how hard the river is flowing!
The other methods i use are same as you and i also use a 10ft ledger rig
for the high tides to or a running ledger for the still water so they dont
feel the resistance of the weight I find they work for me  but
like i say we all fish diferent ways and its nice to here how you all do it

i chose float! Spinning is my second.

i like float cos i love that feeling when the float goes down and you drop every thing else you're doing and concentrate so hard on your float and when it next goes down STRIKE!! also you know that there is fish there!!

float is good in that aspect but you cant really use it when the water is flowing to hard i find
i have never got on with spinning (this could be because i have never caught with spinning)
it just seems to be alot of work for a very low pay back but then again alot of fishing is like this
spinning more than others though because you have to cast alot and it doesnt seem as peaceful and relaxing as float or freelining
i guess it depends what you fish for
i fish because its relaxing and i enjoy it and catching fish is just an added bonus if it happens
