amnesia line, hard to knot?duno what knot u r trying but its a pieceap***. .r u using it 4 hook lenghts? got a job 2 beat it 4 that. use it in 40lb and if u r using a blood knot dont bother tucking it and it will knot perfectly. tuck it though if u r using anything of lesser brakeing strain as it may slip.i always use clear lines, hook lenghts and main line it takes any doubts out of your mind whatsoever,a confidence thing.

Re: amnesia line??

Hi all,

I have used Amnesia line for my traces for years and have had no trouble with it. I always use clear rather than any of the coloured. The skipper of Meridian Express (Paul) jumps up and down and stamps his feet if you use a coloured trace, he reckons it spooks the fish??? As far as knotting it, I only use a double grinner, it is a neat knot and will never untie.

Cheers.

Re: amnesia line??

I use amnesia for my snoods, took me a while to get a decent knot but mastered it now. I go for a blood knot rather than grinner, find it easier, prob just a personal preference.

Re: amnesia line??

Hi all,

I'm a Scot who just loves Tasmania!!!. The fishing is A1.

What do tackle shop owners know that we don't? They will tell you anything just to get your money.

The tag end on the double grinner lies parrallel with the main line and is easier to put the bait on, again all down to preference.

Cheers

Re: amnesia line??

ok, i learnt some reasoning behind what colour line to use at depths the other day in a biology lesson, we were learning about sea weed and why its the colour it is, i donno if many of you know this but sea weed in deep water is red, the reason for this is that red is the 1st colour to be absorbed by the water whereas all the rest in the light spectrum dont get absorbed till after then
who would have though biology would be soo useful
