| Re: moray bass Hi, If spinning works for the sea trout anglers, then I feel that their spinners are mimiking prey fish that are in the water. This natural food could be all sorts of things - I don't know the location but maybe there are brit, or small mackerel, or elvers, or sandeels there. I suggest you don't bother with bait if the fish are used to chasing their food. So try some of the classic spinners - Abu Toby Dexter Wedge Abu Coster (in silver or copper) Abu Krill (old type sea trout lure) Also try a redgill-type lure, in pearl colour, a couple of feet behind a barrel lead. Also have a look at the book 'Bass and BASS', which is a large book full of facts on bass feeding, habits, behaviour, fishing tactics etc. See www.anglersbookcase.com |
