There are 4 marks to choose from and we will wait until about a week before the actual event before making a final decision. The reason we are doing this is because Chesil Beach is 17 miles long and one week Abbotsbury might be fishing well and the next it's Ferry Bridge.

The 4 marks from which one will be chosen are from the West:

West Bexington
Abbotsbury
Ferry Bridge
The Oil Terminal

Please check out the link to Chesil Beach that Richard posted for more details of each mark. Do not worry about the parking situation for the Oil Terminal that is mentioned in the Chesil link. If this site is chosen we will park at the Masonic car park and then walk back a couple of hundred metres.

Some of you may wonder why we haven't chosen the 2 other marks that fish really well through the summer, The Adelaide and The Landing Craft. We felt that these two marks limit the decent fishing to only those who can cast about 120+ metres.

The mark will be chosen ultimately on what Weymouth Angling think is the best mark for that time.

I fished the bridging camp once in a team event, and we got ferried across the fleet by the army, and the fishing was excellent...

It's so variable Norfolk, that's why we are going to wait until a week before the event and then ask the guys in Weymouth Angling. They seem to get it right every time.
