I don't have a sound card, so could not hear what they were saying. Thankfully they were 'yoofs', at least they were not portrayed as fishermen.
I understand that fish are 'gassed' with methane so they can be sold alive in Japans fish markets.

Iki stick to the brain up through the gill flap, quick, easy, instant and bloodless. Some people argue the fish taste better killed this way, I think it's more humane than letting them drown in a chilly bin.
