Re: anything going on 18th-25th may near Kingsbridge

Salcombe estuary is "supposedly" a good venue for Ray, Plaice and Bass...... Personally, I'm not going down there again for a very long time. Too many hours driving, too much money wasted on bait and too many hours standing by my rods like an idiot, mean that it'll be a while before I'm back....

Not that I'm bitter about it!!! I'm told it can be a cracking venue. Fish at East Portle mouth, on the beach near the car park or just round the corner. Crab, Prawn (killer) and rag as bait. Watch the weed, it can be a pain. 2 hours either side of low best.

Of course there's always a few other beaches round that way... Beesands, Slapton.... Or more marks than you can shake a stick at in Plymouth... I've never fished these, but I'm sure someone can put you right....

Let us know how you get on.....

cheers baggierich.

I'm taking an assortment of rods to cover all occasions. I am trying to pick up a boat between now and then, have made an offer that the bloke is considering. if i get the boat and get the urge will anyone be tempted to join me for a days boat fishing?
