hi, does anybody have any bait tips for fishing babbacombe in devon thanks barrie .

Hi Barrie,

Have only ever fished Oddicombe but in general round here most baits will catch at one time or another.

Give rag, blow lug, mackie, squid, sand eel and maybe even peeler crab a try if you're feeling extravagant..

If I had to pick one bait over all the others, then it'd have to be the crab but it ain't half expensive. Second place would probably be a tie between the lug and the eel. You'll get most stuff with them three.

hello baggierich, we gave babbacombe a miss last night due to the weather and went to lilstock just left of hinkley point, had a few doggies but nothing great ,other people had thornies up to 8lb not a bad place to fish except for the rocky beach barrie.

Sounds better than we did last night Barrie. Trecked down to East Portlemouth and battled with the weed. Did consider north coast as well.... You wins some...
