| Re: Car parking Charges List If you want to fish West Cowes then drive down to Egypt light. There's no parking restriction just past it (towards Gurnard ), don't pay and display and then walk to the light or you'll be kicking yourself. Many (maybe not all) IOW car parks still do not charge after 6 PM either but be careful as I wouldn't put it past the council to sneak one in. Yaverland car park is locked at 22:00 in the summer too so don't get locked in. Wish I blo@dy lived there rather than visit once a year. | Re: Car parking Charges List ref. Chesil Cove I have found a free car park for the Chesil Cove. Drive past the Masonic Car Park (you would have to double back on yourself around a round about to park here and it's expensive) and in effect you go through the roundabout and drive for a max of 100 yards and there is a takeaway/diner on the right and a sign around the corner that advertises fresh fish, park in the car park there, it's free for a max of 72 hours. BARGAIN! |
