live baiting rigs

hi could any1 please show me a good way of live baiting small fish such as pouting?
ive not tried live baiting before so any help would be appreciated

Re: live baiting rigs

Bass feed very close in to shore and sometimes freelining (no weight) is needed. This can work with whole Calamari squid as well. Look for calm Summer nights.

You can fish a live pout from a pier (keep it near the pier's pylons) on a rig like this -



fishing at range, you can bait the small hook with a piece of worm and wait for a bite from a pin whiting or similar. Leave it out there till Mr Coddy comes along ...



From a boat, most bass anglers will go for a Portland Rig baited with a mackerel ....
