Flounders and Dabs

Happy new year guys.

In the 4 years that I've been sea fishing I have not caught flounders or Dabs.
Flounders of course are plentiful in the BC but as I generally fish too far out with large hooks and baits I dont stand too much of a chance of catching one.

I've decided to target flounders in the Exe over the next week or two as I am on annual leave then but only providing ofcourse that they are present at this time! Do dabs go into the river and if so what time of year? What about the river at Seaton, would that be worth a look too for either of these fish?

there are a few showing( but not a glut still) along the seafront at exmouth at the moment worm baits being the best

could be good and theres always water up that stretch as well even over low

Once again, thanks Pingu. I have a busy time ahead over the next couple of weeks as I've still to get down to Branscombe and Ladrum too. Hope these artic conditions dont get any worse!

pm if think will be out in eve as i can often blag eve out ( apart from thursdays)
branscombe could be worth a try for huss if water gets stirred up again as well

Thanks Dave, I'll do that. My first day off is friday although it's unlikely that I'll be out before monday as my nipper will be over for a couple of days. Deffinately up for making some new fishing aquantances so I'll be in touch.
