| Multiplier reels I am thinking of getting a new multiplier , I currently use an abu 7000 with the level wind removed but to be honest I find the retrive a bit slow on rough ground Cheers Steve __________________ A Codling is what you catch at the Beach, A Cod is what you discribe to your mates in the pub afterwards |

| Re: Multiplier reels I like my TLD20 from Shimano, the lever drag is superb and the retrive rate is good, we oftern fish in deep water, and I have never looked back after buying it 2 years ago. |

| Re: Multiplier reels Nice one guys thanks for the replys, the slosh 20 is on my list along with the penn 525 mag and the ABU 6500 ct mag elite but it is tough to choose between them. | Re: Multiplier reels Quote:
The sloshes have a well proven record for being reliable and bullet proof, with the right tuning will serve you well, but not great on distance. The price however may sway you in their favour. The penns are in my opinion somewhere between the abu and daiwa's Other options to perhaps consider would be shimano torium 14, daiwa saltist 20h/30h. These opinions are based on over 30 years beach fishing experience. Hope this helps |

| Re: Multiplier reels Nice one codhead/outrigger, a mate is brave enough to loan me his 525 mag so I will try that for size and see how I go. Cheers Steve __________________ A Codling is what you catch at the Beach, A Cod is what you discribe to your mates in the pub afterwards |
